Web services fits into the operational model that The Open Group calls
Boundaryless Information Flow - the secure, reliable, and timely flow of
information throughout and between enterprises. At our recent conference,
chief officers from enterprises that use Web services in their business,
including the business of government, recounted the role of Web services in
achieving Boundaryless Information Flow. The tales of successes and
